All transactions made through our website (“Site”), including those conducted on The Parts Preserve, are subject to our Terms of Purchase, Return Policy, and Shipping Policy in effect at the time of purchase. These Terms of Purchase, Return Policy, Shipping Policy, along with the General Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, set forth the entire understanding and agreement between you and us with respect to the subject matter hereof.
TERMS OF PURCHASE
Order Acceptance Policy
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell or guarantee the price or availability of an item. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order (or otherwise cancel your order) in part or whole for any reason. Your order will be deemed accepted by us upon our delivery of the products that you have ordered. We may require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. You agree that if we cancel all or a portion of your order or provide you with fewer quantities than you ordered, your sole and exclusive remedy is limited to: (a) a credit issued to your payment account for the canceled portion or quantity not provided (if your payment account has already been charged), or (b) not charging your payment account for the canceled portion or quantity not provided. Do not assume that a cancellation or change of an order you have placed with us has been effectuated until you receive confirmation via email. If you request a change or cancellation after an order has been processed or shipped, you may be responsible for associated fees. We may refuse any order connected with a previous credit card dispute or orders from customers with a history of suspicious activity.
Order Processing
All orders are processed within 7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order and payment confirmation. You will receive a notification when your order has shipped. Certain custom products or services may be subject to additional policies, conditions, and restrictions, and may take longer to process or ship. Products purchased from The Watch Preserve or The Parts Preserve are delivered by a third-party delivery company, pursuant to a shipping contract. The title and risk of loss for products pass to you upon delivery to your address. We are not liable if delivery is delayed or rendered impossible due to natural forces, high order volumes, third-party service issues, war, governmental actions, or any other causes beyond our reasonable control.
Inspection of Order
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item. Include a description and photographs so we can address the issue promptly.
No Responsibility to Sell Mispriced Products
We strive to describe every product as accurately as possible. However, we do not warrant that specifications or prices on the Site are complete, accurate, reliable, or error-free. In the event of any errors relating to the pricing or specifications of any item, product, or service, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. If we have already charged your payment account, we will issue a credit or refund. If a product purchased from us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition and in its original packaging, subject to the Return Policy terms and conditions.
Modifications to Prices or Billing Terms
Purchases of products and services on The Parts Preserve or The Watch Preserve are subject to availability. All descriptions, images, references, features, content, information, specifications, products, and prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit sales to any person or region and to correct any errors in descriptions, typographic errors, or inaccuracies at any time. We do not guarantee that your monitor’s display of any color will be accurate.
Offers and Discounts
Promotional offers, coupons, vouchers, and discounts are subject to restrictions. Read the terms associated with each offer. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel offers without notice. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax related to the use of such offers.
Products for Personal Use Only
By placing an order, you represent that products purchased are for personal use or gifting, not for resale. We may limit or cancel orders that appear to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors.
Accounts
To access or use some (or potentially all) of the features on the Site, including The Parts Preserve and The Watch Preserve, you may be required to first register for a user account through our registration process available on the Site. The practices governing the collection and use of your personal information are disclosed in our Privacy Policy. If you register for any feature that requires a password and/or username, you will choose your password at the time of registration (or we may send you an email notification with a randomly generated initial password). By registering, you agree that:
(i) You will not use a username (or email address) that is already being used by someone else, that impersonates another person, violates the intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, or is offensive.
(ii) You will provide true, accurate, current, and complete registration information about yourself during the registration process and, as permitted, maintain and update it continuously and promptly to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
(iii) You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account, password, and username, whether or not you authorized the activity.
(iv) You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for restricting access to your device so that others may not access any password-protected portion of the Site using your name, username, or password.
(v) You will immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account, password, or username, or any other breach of security.
(vi) You will not sell, transfer, or assign your account or any account rights.
We will not be liable for any loss or damage (of any kind and under any legal theory) to you or any third party arising from your inability or failure for any reason to comply with any of the above obligations. If any information you provide, or if we have reasonable grounds to suspect that any information you provide, is false, inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or violates these Terms of Purchase, General Terms of Service, or any applicable law, we may suspend or terminate your account. We also reserve the general right to terminate your account, or suspend or deny you access to it or its benefits, at our sole discretion, for any reason, and without advance notice or liability.
Free Shipping within the United States
We offer free shipping for all orders delivered within the United States from both The Watch Preserve and The Parts Preserve, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.
Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates
All orders within the U.S. qualify for free standard shipping.
Local Delivery
For customers within a 10-mile radius of downtown Fort Worth, we offer free local delivery. Deliveries are made between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm on weekdays. We will notify you via text message using the phone number provided at checkout on the day of delivery.
International Shipping
We ship worldwide. International shipping charges will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT) once it reaches your destination country. Please note that these additional charges are the customer’s responsibility, and we are not liable for any fees imposed upon delivery.
How to Check the Status of Your Order
Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number to monitor your order status. Please allow up to 48 hours for tracking information to become available. If you do not receive your order within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@thewatchpreserve.com with your name and order number.
Return Policy
7-Day Returns
We have a 7-day return policy, applicable to purchases made from The Watch Preserve and The Parts Preserve, which means you have 7 days after receiving your order to request a return, subject to the following conditions.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition as when you received it and in its original packaging. Proof of purchase (receipt) is also required.
How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, please contact us at info@thewatchpreserve.com. If your return is accepted, we will provide a return shipping label and instructions on how to send your package back to us. Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.
Return Shipping Fees
You are responsible for the return shipping fees, which will be deducted from your refund as follows:
- Returns within the United States:
- For items valued over $300, a flat rate shipping fee of $50 will be deducted from your refund.
- For items valued under $300, a flat rate shipping fee of $25 will be deducted from your refund.
- International Returns: A flat rate shipping fee of USD $250 will be deducted from the refund amount.
Refunds / Restocking Fee
*Please note all returned items from The Watch Preserve and The Parts Preserve are subject to a restocking fee of 5% of the sale price of the product or USD $50, whichever is greater. The restocking fee will not apply to items returned due to our errors or defects in the product that we determine were present at the time of delivery.
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return and inform you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original form of payment, minus any applicable shipping costs, insurance, restocking fees, and any fees associated with the return payment method (e.g., wire transfer fees). Please note that it may take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Exceptions / Non-returnable Items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
NO WARRANTY PROVIDED FOR SOLD MERCHANDISE
All watches and merchandise sold by The Watch Preserve Corporation, including items from The Parts Preserve, are sold “as is” and without any warranty unless otherwise specified. For watches that have been serviced by us prior to sale, please refer to the “Limited Warranty for Parts and Services.” The warranty period for such items will commence from the date of sale.
LIMITED WARRANTY FOR PARTS AND SERVICES
The Watch Preserve Corporation (“WPC,” “us,” or “we”) warrants to the original customer the following parts and/or services provided by us for the specified periods and under the following terms:
Movement Replacements:
- For new movements: One (1) year from the date WPC notifies the customer that the service has been completed.
- For vintage movements: Six (6) months from the date WPC notifies the customer that the service has been completed.
Overhauls:
- For movements with 8 or more jewels: Six (6) months from the date WPC notifies the customer that the service has been completed.
- For movements with less than 8 jewels: No warranty.
General Repairs (e.g., crystal replacement, fixing a hand, mainspring repair): Six (6) months from the date WPC notifies the customer that the service has been completed.
The term “original customer” refers to the individual whose name and signature are on the service contract.
The obligation of WPC, including The Parts Preserve, under this Limited Warranty is restricted to repairing or, at our discretion, replacing any part, provided that such repair or replacement is contingent upon WPC’s pre-authorization in writing for the item to be returned (shipping and insurance prepaid by WPC if mailing) and upon WPC’s inspection and confirmation that the part or service is indeed defective. If the issue is found not to be covered by this Limited Warranty, the customer will be charged for the prepaid shipping and insurance.
Conditions that Void the Limited Warranty
This Limited Warranty is void if the watch has been damaged or rendered defective due to:
- Accidents, alterations, abuse, misuse, or neglect.
- Lack of maintenance, improper care, or maintenance inconsistent with WPC's recommendations.
- Services or repair attempts performed by anyone other than WPC.
Warranty Limitations
This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and takes the place of all other warranties, whether expressed or implied. WPC does not authorize any other individual or entity to assume liability or obligations on behalf of WPC that are not explicitly stated in this warranty.
The aforementioned paragraphs establish the exclusive remedy for all claims involving part or service failure or defect, regardless of when the issue arises during the warranty period. Whether the claim is based on contract, warranty, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statutory, or common law, neither WPC nor any of its employees or agents will be liable for any claims of personal injury, consequential damages, or loss incurred by the customer or any third party. All liability under this warranty ceases once the applicable warranty period expires.
THE ABOVE LIMITED WARRANTIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND TAKE THE PLACE OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER WRITTEN, ORAL, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL APPLY, AND WPC DOES NOT PROVIDE WARRANTIES FOR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES OF OTHERS.
